About this role

Suger is a revenue platform helping customers grow on cloud marketplaces like AWS, Azure, GCP, and Alibaba. We seek a talented Sales Engineer (Pre-Sales) as a trusted advisor, uncovering pain points, aligning ROI, and showcasing how Suger accelerates marketplace revenue and automates workflows.

You will partner closely with Sales for technical discovery, mapping Suger’s capabilities to customer strategies. Lead tailored product demonstrations communicating ROI and build technical prototypes via APIs to demonstrate quoting, fulfillment, and billing automation.

As founding member of pre-sales, collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Customer Success for technical handoffs and roadmap influence. Work with over 200 B2B customers from Snowflake to startups like Glean in a Series A environment funded by top investors.

Establish Sales Engineering foundation with processes, playbooks, and metrics while documenting learnings to refine sales cycles. Join a fast-growing team transforming B2B SaaS and AI distribution through exceptional onboarding and scalable GTM assets.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Sales Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or related customer-facing technical experience in SaaS
  • Strong discovery skills to earn trust, ask probing questions, and uncover real business pain
  • Excellent demo and storytelling skills translating technical capabilities into business outcomes
  • Comfort building technical prototypes, workflows, or integrations using APIs
  • Solid understanding of enterprise SaaS buying cycles and SE role in deal momentum
  • Strong analytical thinking to articulate ROI and quantify operational improvements
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Sales to run technical discovery and map Suger’s capabilities to marketplace monetization strategy
  • Lead product demonstrations tailored to customer pain points, communicating ROI and business value
  • Build technical prototypes, workflows, and integration examples to showcase API-driven automation of listing, quoting, fulfillment, and billing
  • Translate prospect requirements into actionable solution designs leveraging Suger’s features and integrations
  • Own technical handoff to post-sales by documenting requirements, configurations, and success criteria
  • Build and maintain reusable demo assets, templates, and workflows to support GTM scale
  • Serve as technical liaison to Product, surfacing insights and influencing roadmap
  • Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives like product launches and cloud marketplace events
