We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several Fortune 500 firms, and largest banks to connect financial accounts to apps. Sales Engineering unlocks prospects’ full potential on the Plaid Network as customer-obsessed technical advisors in pre-sales.

You’ll work closely with the Enterprise Sales team as technical lead during pre-sales. Partner with Account Executives to proactively push deals forward by overcoming technical objections and building solutions around Plaid products. Ensure successful transition to post-sale and drive adoption of new products by existing customers.

Engage deeply with technical stakeholders to drive alignment and buy-in. Provide demonstrations, address questions, architect implementation solutions, and handle RFP responses. Take hands-on role in POCs to identify, diagnose, and rectify performance shortfalls.

Work with engineering and product teams to translate prospect feedback into product insights. Collaborate with current SE team to up-level knowledge and capabilities. Constantly re-evaluate selling assets and processes for more efficient customer messaging.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of customer facing experience selling to large enterprises
  • Familiarity with Identity Verification, stolen, synthetic, and first-party fraud or Income Verification, Cash Flow Underwriting
  • Fluency in insights products and underlying statistical/ML models, translating analytical outputs into actionable customer recommendations
  • Strong sense of customer empathy
  • Background that combines business experience and technical acumen
  • Strong communication skills with a confident and proactive approach to client management
  • Consultative mindset with ability to translate technical choices into business value
  • Knowledge of mobile and web application architecture specific to interfacing with API platforms
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for Enterprise accounts throughout the sales process
