San Francisco, US · Full-time · $144,900 – $168,400
About this role
At Quantcast, we revolutionize advertising technology with our AI-powered Demand Side Platform. We connect ambitious marketers with ideal audiences across the open internet, delivering measurable outcomes. Since 2006, we've trailblazed the first AI-powered measurement platform and DSP.
The Campaign Success team builds products advertisers open daily to track ad-driven outcomes like purchases and sign-ups. We're re-imagining this experience using agentic engineering and Quantcast's unique data. Hire for new grad or early-career engineer to ship customer-used features.
Paired with a senior engineer mentor through onboarding and beyond. Participate in engineering rituals like system design, code reviews, on-call, and operational habits. Cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers and Designers to decide what to build and why.
Hands-on exploration of AI agents in product and customer workflows to identify real value. Own pieces of the product and operate built systems. Grow by building substantive projects, discussing trade-offs, and writing clearly about technical topics.
Requirements
- New grad or up to 1 year of experience
- Work-authorized in the United States without need for current or future employer sponsorship; not able to engage candidates on OPT
- Built at least one substantive project — side project, class project, internship deliverable, open-source contribution — and can discuss trade-offs
- Comfortable in at least one of TypeScript, Java, or Python, willing to dive into others
- Solid CS fundamentals — algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design
- Curious about code impact across services, database, on the wire
- Want to understand users and ask 'should we build this?' as much as 'can we?'
- Aim to write clearly about technical things
Responsibilities
- Build customer-facing features surfacing ad campaign insights — full stack: React and TypeScript frontend, Java/Python backend, database, testing, monitoring, docs, operational ownership
- Ship features that customers use directly
- Explore how AI agents fit into product and customer workflows to unlock value
- Participate in engineering rituals: system design discussions, code reviews, on-call, operational habits
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers and Designers on what to build and why
- Own pieces of the product
- Operate the systems you build
