Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history. This constellation delivers an unprecedented dataset of empirical information via a revolutionary cloud-based platform to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors. We seek an experienced Director of Growth Marketing to lead the worldwide function.
This role reports to the Head of Revenue Marketing and manages Growth and Operations teams. Responsibilities include building, managing, and optimizing demand generation, digital marketing, and marketing operations. Focus on end-to-end demand generation strategy to generate pipeline for global revenue targets.
Collaborate with global leaders, especially in Sales, to drive efficiency and unlock opportunities in Defense & Intelligence, Civil Government, and Commercial sectors. The office features an inspiring mix of experts from hardware design, manufacturing, data processing, and software engineering. Planet maintains a people-centric approach toward culture and community.
Join a global company with employees working remotely worldwide and offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and The Netherlands. Advance Planet's mission by leveraging geospatial analytics and the Space Economy to make change visible, accessible, and actionable. This full-time hybrid role requires 3 days per week in the San Francisco office.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading worldwide growth marketing functions and managing Growth and Operations teams
- Expertise in end-to-end demand generation strategy and execution for global revenue targets
- Strong background in digital marketing channels including SEM, paid social, SEO, display/programmatic
- Track record developing data-driven multi-channel strategies focused on high-priority sectors like D&I and Civil Government
- Experience building and scaling ABM programs leveraging intent data and personalization
- Ability to drive integrated campaigns with webinars, sponsorships, and account targeting
- Strategic skills in aligning marketing with sales for pipeline generation and efficiency
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven, multi-channel digital growth strategy to drive qualified opportunities and pipeline within the Target Account List
- Directly own pipeline and revenue targets, aligning marketing plans, digital channel strategies, and analytics with strategic growth objectives
- Lead a culture of continuous A/B testing and experimentation across all digital touchpoints to maximize conversion rates
- Directly manage and continuously optimize core digital demand generation channels, including SEM, paid social, SEO, display/programmatic, and website/landing page conversions
- Design and execute complex, integrated digital campaigns including webinars and sponsorships that leverage first and third-party data
- Build and scale outbound and digital Account-Based Marketing (ABM) frameworks aligned with Sales objectives using intent data and personalization
- Collaborate with Sales and global leaders to promote cross-collaboration and nurture top accounts in key sectors
