Rippling

New York City, US · Full-time · $159,000 – $278,250

About this role

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance, unifying scattered workforce systems like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. You can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system, such as onboarding a new employee anywhere in the world within 90 seconds—including payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and apps like Slack and Microsoft 365.

In this role, you'll use machine learning and large language models to build software helping internal GTM teams operate effectively, manifesting as features in existing products or new ones. As a backend engineer, you'll work across the stack including backend services, data pipelines, APIs, and contribute to ML-specific tasks. Successful team members operate with autonomy and alacrity, strong customer empathy, and drive outcomes from data ingestion through modeling into production.

Design, develop, code, and test backend software systems while ensuring operational excellence and scaling data platform capabilities. Collaborate with other teams to build AI and data-driven GTM products, including monitoring proactive deal risks and insights, running sales strategies, scaling research, and launching automated outreach campaigns.

Based in San Francisco, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from top investors like Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock, and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes. We prioritize candidate safety with official communication only from @Rippling.com addresses.
