About this role
The Director of Content Marketing leads development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy driving Unison’s brand and growth across consumer loan products, non-loan solutions, and investment management offerings. This role shapes the voice of Unison, ensuring content is compelling, compliant, and aligned with business goals. It engages customers across their journey using data-driven insights.
Oversee creation of multi-channel content including web, email, blogs, guides, webinars, social, video, and partner materials with focus on digital funnel conversion and pipeline growth. Ensure content aligns with compliance requirements like TILA, RESPA, and state licensing. Collaborate with Executive Team, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and Sales for high-performing campaigns.
Lead and mentor a team of writers, editors, and designers, fostering clarity, creativity, and accountability. Establish editorial standards, style guidelines, and approval processes for consistency and quality. Manage external agency and vendor partnerships to scale content production.
Define and track content performance metrics, leveraging insights to refine strategy and execution. Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging formats, and customer expectations in mortgage and financial services. We recognize diverse experience and skills; if your background is close, please apply.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role focused on content
- Proven track record developing and scaling content strategies that drive measurable impact in digital marketing funnels, with strong emphasis on conversion
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences
- Experience leading and mentoring teams of content creators
- Deep knowledge of content marketing best practices, SEO, analytics, and multi-channel distribution
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Comfortable navigating compliance and regulatory constraints in consumer finance
- Proficiency with content and marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, or similar
