About this role

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial for users and society. The Creative Studio is our in-house creative team responsible for brand expression across Anthropic and Claude. We’re looking for a Brand Designer to define how our brand is expressed internally, bringing creative ambition to our internal culture.

You'll own the creative direction for Anthropic's internal brand experience, from flagship company events and launch celebrations to week-to-week communications. Identify breakthrough creative moments that shape how the company experiences itself, then build scalable systems, templates, and design language. This craft leadership role on a small, high-leverage team turns ideas into lasting impact and infrastructure.

Reporting to the Head of Brand Design, you'll partner closely with internal communications and workplace teams while working as a peer alongside the rest of the Brand Design team. The team cares about craft, making things by hand and using AI when it makes sense. We seek people who do excellent work amid real stakes and room to shape what it becomes.

Design across formats like company events, environmental design, merch, communications, podcasts, and pop-up experiences. Develop a distinctive internal design language carrying unique Anthropic identity through every touchpoint. Bring proactive creative vision to internal moments, ensuring intentional expression matches our external presence.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of brand design experience with an outstanding portfolio demonstrating creative ambition and versatility across formats and contexts
  • Lead with creative ideas and track record of producing breakthrough work, then building systems that help others reach it
  • Strong cultural intuition to calibrate on a company's internal culture and bring unexpected creative ideas that fit the context
  • True generalist who thrives on variety, comfortable designing event environments, merch, or presentations
  • Collaborative and generous working style, enjoying helping others level up their creative output

Responsibilities

  • Identify and create breakthrough creative moments for internal audiences, developing concepts and executions that define Anthropic's culture
  • Develop a distinctive internal design language that carries a unique Anthropic identity through every touchpoint
  • Translate breakthroughs into scalable systems, templates, and design language for teams to use independently
  • Design across formats and surfaces, from company events and environmental design to merch, communications, podcasts, and pop-up experiences
  • Partner with internal communications to reimagine promotion and experience of internal moments like forums, podcasts, and launch celebrations
  • Support and enable people across Anthropic to generate their own creative assets with a collaborative spirit
