Cumulus Media San Francisco is looking to hire a dynamic forward-thinking Account Executive seeking a strong career opportunity in outside local sales. Sell the power of our audiences through various platforms: on-air, digital, mobile and event. Candidates must develop and retain new business while securing face-to-face qualified sales calls.
Manage and grow account portfolios, prioritize day and work assignments, meet deadlines and sales budgets. Deal effectively with other departments. Professional training provided immediately including prospecting, cold calling, sales presentations, negotiating and closing skills.

Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms and CRM tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience developing new business relationships in an outside sales role
- Excellent presenter to clients of sales opportunities and post-sale successes
- Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects
- Comprehension of sales metrics to fill sales funnel and robust pipeline of residual business
- Positive attitude with willingness to get beyond comfort zone to grow professionally
- High energy and passion for the job; flexible and creative
Responsibilities
- Identify client business needs by gaining deep understanding of goals, objectives, processes and market trends to develop customized advertising solutions
- Deliver effective multi-platform integrated sales presentations including broadcast, digital, events; handle negotiation and closing
- Sell Cumulus digital assets like streaming, station websites, social advertising and digital audience extension products
- Excel at prospecting and aggressively seeking new clientele by networking, cold calling, canvassing, referrals to build full pipeline
- Follow station and corporate procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, submitting reports on sales, pipeline, forecasts, competitive analysis
- Stay abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to position Cumulus in the marketplace
- Think creatively and generate original ideas
